The 9th Annual Meeting of the Transferware Collectors Club promises to be one of our most successful. A full slate of speakers, including Dick Henrywood, co-author of the two-volume Dictionary of Blue and White Printed Pottery, will present on a variety of topics. Topics to be presented by the six speakers include Special Order Wares; Importers of Transferware and their Marks; The Influence of the Tower Menagerie and the London Zoological Gardens on Transfer Printed Patterns; Decorated English Shell Edged Wares; Josiah Wedgwood and his Factory, Highlights from the Dwight and Lucille Beeson Wedgwood Collection at the Birmingham Museum of Art; and Challenging our Knowledge of Transferware. Other features of the meeting include Object Identification Session (back by popular demand); Show and Share session; Optional Day of visits to nearby collections and to Jamestown; and the spectacular Show and Sale of Transferware. Attendees will receive an extended-period pass to all Colonial Williamsburg sites. This will be a very popular conference venue and demand will be high, so put these dates on your calendar now and be sure to submit your reservation early.
