Rare Autographs featured in Pop Culture Auction

An autograph collection consisting of 25 “Theater World” Hardcover Books with dust jackets from 1940s through the 1970s, profusely autographed in person and including signatures by the Greats of the Stage including Broadway, Off-Broadway, City Center, Repertory Theater, National Touring Companies, Shakespeare Festivals, Gilbert & Sullivan Savoyards, Professional Resident Companies, Award-winning Productions, Dance Companies, Variety Productions and Follies, Comedy, Drama and Experimental theater productions. This is a written history of Stage Productions showcasing the great actors and actresses including Helen Hayes, Lillian Gish, Alfred Drake, Hume Cronyn, Jessica Tandy, Angela Lansbury, Vivian Leigh, Barbara Streisand and Margaret Hamilton. It also includes many future stars when they had their first appearances on the professional stage including James Dean, Al Pacino, Robert Redford and Woody Allen.
This is a written history of the African American in Theater throughout this period also with hundreds of signatures of black actors, actresses and performers. Gilbert & Sullivan fans will find Martyn Green and numerous players of the era and Shakespearians will find Richard Burton and other greats exercising their roots in acting. There are over one hundred signatures in every book received in person by a fan and theater aficionado.

These must be seen to be believed as many of the signatures are of lesser known, and rarer, actors and actresses signatures, desirable to collectors of Theater autographs. The books will be sold one at a time.
The in-person collector who amassed this stunning representation of the Theater also has over 14 autograph books filled with signatures of stars of stage and screen including George Reeves, The 3 Stooges, Boris Karloff, Paul Newman and many others.
Also included in the sale will be a NASA Moon Landing Flight Plan Signed by 23 Astronauts. The document, marked “AS-506 / CSM-107 / LM-5, 1 July 1969,” in the front cover is in an 8.25” x 11” ring-bound notebook with a clear cover prepared by the Flight Planning Branch Flight Crew Support Division of the Manned Spacecraft Center in Houston, Texas. The cover is inscribed to “Arlene” by several of the signers and signed in person by the astronauts Buzz Aldrin, Neil Armstrong, and Mike Collins of Apollo 11 (A-11), plus Astronauts Charles Conrad (A-12), Alan Shepard (A-14), Wally Schirra (A-7), Jim Lovell (backup Commander on A-11 plus A-13), Dave Scott (A-9), Al Worden (A-15), Tom Stafford (A-10), Gene Cernan (A-10), Dick Gordon (A-12), Walt Cunningham (A-7), Don Eisele (A-7), Joe Engle (a-14), Rusty Schweickart (A-9), plus Skylab Astronauts Joe Kerwin, Paul Weitz and Jerry Karr, and two indistinct signatures.
