Antique Rifles
Nov 4th, 2008 | By CollectOs | Category: MiscellanousCollecting items is something that truly long ago was not on the to do list to most of us, until it is showing they are worth something, and often quite a lot. I have seen many items, I remember having long ago and kick myself in the rear for getting rid of! There are so many items worth alot today and one of those items are Antique Rifles.
There are so many gorgeous Rifles from decades ago, that now are worth an exceptional amount of money. For a prefect example lets take the Civil War era. Many different sorts of rifles, but the HARPERS FERRY MODEL 1819 HALL FLINTLOCK RIFLE gorgeous rifle, and very well up in pricing, $5295.00 and in mint condition. It is always important when you are in the market for a rifle to make sure the wood is not split and detaching, it is well kept and has been oiled. You may not want to use it, but for pride and looks, always a good thing to clean it and keep it looking good as new, or old lol.
Now here on iantiqueonline.com you can find about anything on antiques. So many people with great information on antiques.
You can always find great antiques rifles on eBay. Sure sometimes someone is over charging, but then there is always that one, with the great price, and make sure you watch details, ask questions, and view photos, and something to always remember which is sometimes forgotten check the sellers feedback. You definitely do not want to end up getting something from someone who has a bad rep. of not sending out things. so go to eBay and simply put in antique rifles. You can also go on a search engine and do a bit of looking around, but I find that http://www.armchairgunshow.com/ is a fantastic site to go, I have purchases many guns from here in the past. They are honest and do investigating and make sure not to sell anything stolen, or fakes! That’s another point make sure you are not getting a fake, it is very hard to know most the time, but you can take your rifle, gun to a Gunsmith, or a collector and they would be able to tell you, most will do it for free, which is always a good thing. Anyhow go check that site out and you can see some beautiful rifles and in great condition! The pricing very reasonable as well! Also too they give you detail specs, and shows you photos, I trust these people as their very knowledgeable!
Just some nice helpful hints and a good way to get to know things, Hope you take a look there, and always check on iantiqueonline.com for more antique checking and suggestions and so forth. Happy Rifle Hunting!!!
