The Have Detector Will Travel web site is devoted to metal detecting, coin shooting and treasure hunting. J.R. Hoff has been metal detecting and treasure hunting since 1974.  He retired from the Army in 1993 and has metal detected most places that he was stationed, especially Germany.  He currently lives in northeast Pennsylvania. J.R. Hoff had numerous articles published in Treasure, Treasure Search, Treasure Found and Western & Eastern Treasures magazines. His site is intended to share his experiences, stories, tips, & pictures about metal detecting, treasure hunting, and coin shooting.Â
